Guadeloupe
After completing 'Lilo & Stitch' at Walt Disney in Florida
I took an extended vacation in the Caribbean
where I spent 8 days on the island of Guadeloupe.
The southern half of Guadeloupe is called Basse Terre
(see map below)
which is mostly protected wildlife preserve.
In all my travels, it is surpassed only
by Kauai in its natural beauty!
Lush rainforests and superb beaches...
WOW!!
I spent entire days hiking alone,
not seeing a single scrap of trash,
or sign of civilization!

Overlooking 'Isle des Pigeons' a unique underwater
wildlife preserve
set up by Jacques Cousteau in the 1960's
I took a dozen or so dives there, but was not yet
equipped with my underwater digital camera..
AMAZING diving, untouched, unafraid creatures abound.
Truly a MUST dive for coral reef officianados.
